Respiratory Ailments--Asthma--Allergies--Bronchitis
Purpose: To relieve distress of respiratory ailments such as pneumonia, asthma, bronchitis, croup, tuberculosis, colds, flu, hay fever, emphysema. Soothes, tones and relieves irritation. Also for allergies, fevers.
USE: general respiratory distress: 4-6 capsules daily. Can take up to 12 capsules per day when in distress.
For allergies: Use 2-4 capsules daily. If you start sneezing; take more.
Slippery Elm Bark– High, unique mucilage content is remarkably effective against sore and inflamed mucous membranes. One of the best for combating coughs. American Indians used it for decades. Very nutritive also.
Plantain – Used in cases of chronic bronchitis. Provides symptomatic relief of pain, coughing, wheezing and irritation.
Mullein Leaf –Used for upper respiratory ailments. High mucilage and saponins renders it ideal for respiratory ailment treatments (coughs, colds, emphysema, asthma, and whooping cough). Good antibiotic properties.
Chickweed – Gives relief for bronchitis, whooping cough, colds, sore throats, flu, and tuberculosis. Has antibiotic properties against respiratory pathogens. Useful against blood diseases, gout, joint disease. High nutritive content includes vitamin A; B vitamins, vitamin C, phosphorus, zinc and calcium.
Horehound – used in thousands of bronchial medications around the world, Affects brain respiratory centers.
Saw palmetto Berry – Strong expectorant as well as having anti-inflammatory principles. Helps remove catarrh from mucus membranes.
Schisandra—A long history in traditional medicines of China and Russia. Fights stress and fatigue. Enhances mental and physical performance. Taken for lung problems like chronic cough, bronchitis and asthma. Used for lung, kidney and heart health, and to calm the heart and mind.
Licorice Root –Curbs inflammation throughout the body, including lungs and throat. As effective as codeine at suppressing coughs.
Kelp and Cayenne – Nutritive support and stimulates circulation. Increases oxygen exchange capacity of the lungs. Cayenne helps break up mucus, promoting the expectorant nature of the other herbs in the blend.
We recommend using #0 capsules….If you do not want to encapsulate the herbs: Use ¼ teaspoon (equals about 2 capsules) or more herbal formula in 1 cup water ; hot or cold. Drink down. Put herb blend into a fruit/veggie smoothie.
